Ayurvedic Treatments and Yoga Classes

Abhyanga $160

Abhyanga is a traditional full-body treatment using medicated oils. The oil is heated before applying to the entire body, from head to toe, followed by gentle strokes to release stress, improve circulation and relieve inflammation. The oil is infused with specific herbs, and the ingredients may vary depending on the target ailment.

Shiro Abhyanga $110

Shiro Abhyanga is a complete oil treatment of the head, neck, and shoulders using Ayurvedic herbal oils.

Kati Basti $110

Traditional treatment for back pain and inflammation in the lumbosacral region, Kati Basti, is performed by retaining warm medicated oil over the lower back for a specific duration. Think of it as a small frame or a well made of gram dough to keep the oil—the heated oil puddles over the target region to provide external stimulation for a soothing effect.

Shirodhara $130

It is a restorative therapy. The process involves pouring warm, medicated oil over the forehead. The treatment lasts 60-90 minutes and includes gentle head strokes to ease headaches, stress, and anxiety.

Yoga Classes $16

Asanas are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. Pranayama  and meditation are also integrated. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity and ease of movement. Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.

Bio

Hi there! I’m Janet! I was introduced to yoga at age 16 and felt a tremendous sense of relief from the stresses of life. Yoga was like therapy for me and helped me navigate through difficult times at a young age and is still a major part of my life. In 2021, I completed a 200 hour Teacher Training Certification registered with Yoga Alliance.

There’s a purpose for me to fulfill through Ayurveda. Since childhood, I have felt a strong pull, this was my intuition speaking to me.  There was this knowledge of something bigger and better. Growing up, I witnessed family members battle chronic illnesses and I also dealt with health issues, one of which was gastritis. While living in college dorms, I would over indulge in all kinds of food and this caused serious stomach aches which were very painful. Since then, I approached my health with awareness. This allowed me to make healthier choices and bring vitality back into my life. Years later Ayurveda came into my life as of way of continuing my health journey and helping others in the process.

Previously, I worked in the non-profit sector for ten years helping undeserved communities achieve a better life through spirituality, women’s empowerment, education and mentorship. I guided and trained volunteers on how to assist those in need in their communities, providing tools and resources to the homeless and leading workshops on self-sufficiency.  As a Human Resources Professional, I established healthy relationships and engagement between employers and employees. After graduating college, I lived and taught English at an elementary school in a rural community in South Korea. I am grateful for every single chapter that has led me to where I am today.

As an Ayurvedic Wellness Educator I welcome the opportunity to meet you and help you navigate through life’s challenges, guide you through your healing process, and empower you with the necessary tools to regain balance to your mind, body and spirit.
